Both Christ and St. Luke are warm and welcoming congregations. We love to share God's Word in our worship and we want to share the saving message of Jesus with as many people as we can.

We are a liturgical Lutheran church. We follow the 500 year tradition of the Confessional Lutheran church based on the teaching and writing of Martin Luther. This means we use the Lutheran liturgy for worship on Sunday mornings. We follow a service folder, which contains all the worship items during our church services. We also utilize video screens at both Christ and St. Luke churches. The liturgy is displayed on the screen for ease of following along in the liturgy. No printed bulletin is needed to fully participate in Sunday worship.

We also practice closed Communion. This means our Communion is open to Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS) members. If you are not a member of the LCMS, please speak with the Pastor prior to communing. The historic practice of the Church since the days of Jesus are to share Communion with those who have a common confession of faith. We do not believe members of other denominations are lesser or unworthy to receive Communion. We believe all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, as Paul says in Romans 3. However, we continue the practice of the church in sharing our Communion with those of the same beliefs as our church body.

In addition, we take the words of Scripture to heart, which Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 11: "Therefore, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. A man ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the body of the Lord eats and drinks judgment on himself."
